It’s time for spring cleaning and that means you’ve probably found some “stuff” you no longer need. As we all know, one person’s trash is another person’s treasure, and nowhere is that more apparent than at the twice-yearly Swannanoa Community Yard Sale, taking place on Saturday, May 19, from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Dozens of sellers and hundreds of buyers will descend on the Swannanoa Ingles parking lot (2299 U.S. Hwy. 70) to hawk their wares and shop for bargains. Don’t miss out!
Registration for seller spaces ($10 each; bring your own tables) will begin on April 21. Details on how to register will be sent out via email, and will also be available on the Friends and Neighbors of Swannanoa (FANS) website (this site) and Facebook page. The sale will go on rain or shine (but let’s hope for shine!).
The Community Yard Sale is sponsored by FANS, and all proceeds from space rentals help to support FANS‘ work in the community. We’d like to thank Ingles for allowing us to hold the yard sale in their parking lot – one of Swannanoa’s highest-visibility locations!
Bargain hunters descended on the Swannanoa Ingles parking lot in early May for the spring edition of the Friends and Neighbors of Swannanoa (FANS) Community Yard Sale. This popular event takes place twice each year (spring and fall), and is a great place to meet your neighbors, sell your stuff, and hunt for treasures. The next yard sale will happen in late September or early October. Stay tuned for details, and be sure to reserve your spot early, as spaces almost always sell out.
The Swannanoa Community Yard Sale is back, and the time for seller registration has arrived! The sale will take place Saturday, May 6, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m., in the Swannanoa Ingles Parking Lot, 2299 U.S. Highway 70. If you’d like to reserve a space (or two or three) to sell your treasures, please email SwannanoaYardSale@gmail.com or call 828-581-9707 with your name, phone number and the number of spaces you’d like to reserve. The cost for each space (approx. 10′ x 10′) is $10; bring your own tables. The yard sale is very popular with both sellers and buyers, and spaces usually sell out prior to the event. Register early to make sure you don’t miss out!
To streamline the registration process, payment for reserved spaces must be made in cash when you check in on the morning of the sale. The yard sale takes place rain or shine, so you may want to bring a tarp or pop-up tent to keep items covered in case of a shower.
