Another Successful Mill Around the Village Festival

The Sixth Annual Mill Around the Village Festival drew large crowds to the streets of the old downtown Swannanoa on Saturday, September 22.  The annual event included live music all afternoon, food from local caterers and restaurants, and over 50 booths hosted by local crafters and artisans, businesses and nonprofits.  The kids enjoyed a large play area, bouncy house, face painting, and ice cream floats.  The festival is a showcase for all the wonderful talent in our Valley, and a great place to “mill around!”

FANS Makes A Splash at Mill Around the Village Festival

The Friends and Neighbors of Swannanoa (FANS) booth was a busy place at the 5th Annual Mill Around the Village Festival on Saturday, September 17.  Hundreds of Valley residents stopped by our booth to learn more about FANS, sign up to help out with community projects, and register for our free raffle.  We received lots of positive feedback about our new logo and name, and enjoyed talking with so many of our Swannanoa friends and neighbors.
