There was a good turnout for the October 20th
Grovemont Community Watch Meeting and now they are looking
forward to their next meeting to actually organize a Community Watch
Committee. This meeting will take place at the Bee Tree Fire Station on Saturday, November 17th,
at 10:00am.

All people in Swannanoa are invited. Even
though you may not live in Grovemont you may want to attend their meeting so
that you can see what they are doing and in turn start a
Community Watch in your own neighborhood.

Several officers from the Buncombe County Sheriff’s
Department led the meeting on the 20th with suggestions as to how to keep safe
as well as giving suggestions on organizing your group. Some of these
are:

-Inscribe your property with your drivers license

program because the more people involved the more effective it will be, plus we
can get acquainted with one another while watching and protecting our
