A Body and Soul Fundraiser
Come one, come all to the Community Dig Day Festival and FUNdraising event for Bounty & Soul on Saturday, May 25 from 11:00 – 5:00. The day is filled with workshops on gardening, fermenting, mushrooming and more. Fun-filled activities for the kids. Great homemade food you won’t get anywhere else. Healthy cooking and tinctures demonstrations all afternoon. Local vendors with some very unique and enticing offers. A silent auction that has one-of-a-kind items. And, if that’s not enough to get you there, there is live music all day, ending with Salsa Dancing at 5:00 in the parking lot. So everybody ” pack up the babies and grab the old ladies and everyone come ’cause everyone knows” it’s Community Dig Day!
This annual event has grown significantly from previous years, so you don’t want to miss it. Every attendee gets 3 organic vegetable starts and composted dirt in a container to take home and GROW. The $10 admission price enables Bounty & Soul to reach over 700 local individuals every week with healthy foods and nutrition education to resolve hunger and health issues. Can’t make the event? Please consider making a donation to Bounty & Soul by clicking here. Be generous and know that every $1 becomes 3-4 days of food for a local family.
The event takes place on the grounds of the Swannanoa Valley Medical Center located at 997 Old US Hwy 70W in Black Mountain. Parking is available in the Hopey & Co parking lot located at 3018 US Hwy 70 in Black Mountain. Shuttle to the event is free. We love our furry friends, but please note that there will be no dogs allowed at the event.
