“COPS” Team Follow up Meeting for Buckeye Cove

When: May 8, 2014 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Where: Buckeye Cove Community Center
527 Buckeye Cove Road
Swannanoa, NC

The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office COPS (Community Oriented Problem Solving) team will be hold a community meeting for the Buckeye Cove community on May 8th at 7:00 pm at the Buckeye Cove Community Club located 527 Buckeye Cove Road in Swannanoa. The COPS team will present the results of their 30 day assignment in the community and provide next steps for the community to sustain the results achieved during their assignment.

Sheriff Van Duncan, as well as several members of the Sheriff’s Office command staff, will be in attendance. The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office utilizes this problem solving based approach to address issues in specific communities. Each COPS Team works in a particular community for 30 days, identifying key issues, speaking with community leaders and residents in the community, creating an action plan, and then presenting their findings and suggestions to the community at the end of the 30 day period.

Sheriff Duncan and the COPS team look forward to meeting with members of the Buckeye Cove Community.
