Stories Comin’ Round the Mountain: Ghostly Tales and Local History

When: Oct 24, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Where: Swannanoa Library
101 West Charleston Ave.
Swannanoa, NC

Halloween HauntsCome on out to the Swannanoa Library and enjoy these evenings of story-telling (some scary, and some not-so-scary) as Halloween approaches.
Stories Comin’ Round the Mountain began on October 10, and continues on Tuesdays, October 17 and 24:

10/17, 6:30 p.m. — Local historian and general cut-up, Bill Alexander, will share fascinating facts and stories about the old Swannanoa Valley, including the community of Grovemont. Bill is a member of one of Swannanoa’s founding families, and is a treasure-trove of information about Swannanoa history. Be sure to come early for a good seat, as Bill’s programs are always well-attended.

10/24, 6:30 p.m. — Supernatural events historian and sleuth, Tadd McDivitt, will share stories of hunting for Biltmore and WNC ghosts. Tadd works with Joshua Warren, of Haunted Asheville Ghost Tours, seeking the truth behind stories of local haunts and strange occurrences.

These free programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Swannanoa Library and are suitable for ages 9 and above. The library is located at 101 West Charleston Avenue. For info, call 828-250-6486.
