“Swig and Swine” Event Will Benefit “Sweet Home Swannanoa” Habitat House.
A local restaurant and two breweries are joining forces to help raise money for the “Sweet Home Swannanoa” Habitat house. Come on out and join in the festivities at the Sweet Home Swannanoa “Swig and Swine,” which will take place at Native Kitchen, 204 Whitson Avenue, on Saturday, June 7. The fun begins at 2 p.m. in the restaurant’s fenced-in outdoor space, with two live bands (starting at about 3:30), a cornhole tournament (3:00 p.m.; $10 entry fee per team), and a free pig roast. Limited items will also be available from the regular restaurant menu.
The celebration will move indoors for the evening, with another live band starting at around 8:00. Pisgah Brewing and Highland Brewing are providing kegs of beer for the event. All proceeds from beer sales and the cornhole tournament will be donated to Habitat for Humanity, to help fund the Adopt A Lot sponsorship for the “Sweet Home Swannanoa” house.
Don’t miss this chance to hang out with old and new friends, enjoy some free food and entertainment, and help support Swannanoa’s new Habitat community. Mark your calendar for June 7!
