FANS Welcomes Our Newest Board Member

Betsy Warren Fly FishingBetsy Warren lives in the Bee Tree Forest community, where she can enjoy a long walk or run along the Swannanoa River, or take a beautiful bike ride, simply by walking out her front door. Besides walking, jogging and biking, Betsy enjoys fly-fishing, hiking, weight-lifting, volunteering on the Habitat construction site, and listening to audiobooks.

Since April 2007, Betsy has been the Sponsorship Coordinator for Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity. Before that, she worked in the field of domestic violence, most recently as the Program Coordinator for a transitional housing program for domestic violence survivors. Betsy also worked as a counselor at Helpmate, Asheville’s domestic violence program. She recently completed two terms on Helpmate’s Board of Directors. Betsy is looking forward to continuing her volunteer service in Swannanoa as a member of the FANS Board.
