HELP BRING
HOLIDAY CHEER TO SWANNANOA!
The Swannanoa Pride Community Coalition
has received a donation of 10 large holiday wreaths from the Town of Black
Mountain and the Black Mountain-Swannanoa Chamber of Commerce. Efforts are underway to get these
festive wreaths mounted on utility poles in Swannanoa’s main business district
along US 70.
If all goes according to plan, the
wreaths will be on display shortly after Thanksgiving. This will be the first time in many
years that holiday decorations have adorned Swannanoa’s
streets.
While the wreaths themselves have been
donated, it is anticipated that it will cost approximately $1,000 to purchase the
necessary hardware and brackets, and to mount the wreaths on the utility
poles. Donations are being
solicited from the community, and from Swannanoa business owners, to assist with
these expenses.
