It Was A Wonderful Life!
Every Christmas season, employees at the Beacon mill in Swannanoa gathered for a company-wide potluck. A large tree was decorated inside the mill, carols were sung, and a commemorative photograph was taken of all those in attendance. The photograph above is from an early-1940s company potluck. Do you see some familiar faces in the crowd?
