A release date has finally been set for Masterminds, the major motion picture filmed partly in Swannanao in 2014. Relativity Media, the company that produced the movie, recently announced that Masterminds will hit theaters on September 30, 2016. The release was delayed several times while the production company worked its way through bankruptcy proceedings.
Masterminds is a comedy based on the true story of a 1997 armored vehicle heist in Charlotte, NC. The film stars Zach Galifianakis, Kristen Wiig and Owen Wilson. Mark your calendars and be sure to catch our home town on the silver screen!
