Citing improving coronavirus metrics in Buncombe County, the Board of Education voted at its February 4 meeting to return to “Plan B” in all county schools. Starting on February 15, students will be in the classroom on either Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday, depending on the group to which they’re assigned. Wednesday will be a remote learning day for all students. The new plan doesn’t affect families who have opted for remote-only instruction.
Let’s all do our part to support our students and teachers as they make the transition back to the classroom. Be on the lookout for more pedestrians and school buses, and be sure to observe the reduced speed limits in school zones.
