Stock Up On Summer Reading at the Swannanoa Library Half-Price Book Sale
Summer is almost here, and it’s time to stock up on books for those lazy days at the beach. If you want to find lots of good reads, save yourself some serious cash, and help a good cause while you’re at it — there’s no better place to shop than the Swannanoa Library’s year-round used book sale. The library’s entire basement is filled with thousands of books offered at rock bottom prices all year long. But for the month of April, the already low prices will be slashed in half, with hardcovers going for 75 cents each, and paperbacks for 35 cents. It doesn’t get much better than that!
Books are organized by category (fiction is further organized by author’s last name), making it easy to find just what you want. The library is located at 101 West Charleston Ave., in Grovemont. Hours are Tues., 10 am – 8 pm; Wed. – Fri., 10 am – 6 pm; and Sat. 10 am – 2 pm. Proceeds from book sales go to the Friends of the Swannanoa Library and are used to enhance the library’s programs, services and collections. For more info, call the library at 828-250-6486.
