Swannanoa Sweep Fall 2007

Swannanoa Pride Community Coalition sponsored a successful Fall Sweep of Swannanoa .  More than 50 people donated over 100 hours to pick up litter and trash Saturday morning November 10th. About 40 cubic yards of trash were collected from the rivers and road sides of Swannanoa. Car parts including bumpers, mufflers, and half of a dozen tires were among the items picked up. Hamilton Refuse generously provided a huge construction dumpster. The Owen High School Beta club came out in force with more than 36 student volunteers. SPCC plans to have its second Swannanoa Spring Sweep in April.
