Grovemont Square adjacent to the Swannanoa Library, Swannanoa, NC
The Friends of the Swannanoa Library present the 5th annual Groovin’ on Grovemont summer concert series in Grovemont Square adjacent to the Swannanoa Library. Bring a blanket, lawn chair, frisbee, etc. and come enjoy these family-friendly evenings of great music! Series is free and open to the public. Pizza and ice cream treats available for sale; all proceeds benefit the Friends of the Swannanoa Library. George Scott, president of the Swannanoa Friends group says, "We’re very excited about the line-up of performers this year. We’re excited about the level of interest in this community event from neighbors and businesses who are interested in taking the opportunity to sponsor the event, and as a result help fund the Friends work of providing family programming for the Swannanoa Valley through the local library branch." Board member Jerry Pope says, "The feeling of community in Swannanoa is on a rise. This type of event, like the recent community-wide picnic, brings people out of their homes to meet and greet one another…This is a good thing for the Valley!" Admission to Groovin’ on Grovemont is free, but donations are always welcome. Individual and business sponsorship opportunities are still available.
