Swannanoa residents, business owners, scout, church and school groups are invited to help clean up their community Saturday, April 11, 9 a.m. until noon, for the annual Swannanoa Sweep, sponsored by Friends and Neighbors of Swannanoa (FANS). Volunteers can help for as little or as long as they wish. Every effort benefits the community.
Volunteers should meet at the Ingles/Valley Ace Hardware parking area on 2299 US Hwy. 70, next to Bank of America. Gloves, vests and bags will be supplied. Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable working clothes, and bring a water bottle. Groups will be formed to fan out across the area.
