New Swannanoa Business
Directory

A directory of all Swannanoa businesses and
organizations is being developed to help foster a positive business climate,
raise public awareness of the resources available in the Swannanoa community,
and assist newcomers to the area. 
The directory will list annual events, organizations, churches, schools,
and all Swannanoa businesses, including home-based, internet, and
agri-businesses. Each entry will include a category, address, website, and phone
number. 

The directory, which will be made available to the
public free of charge, is being developed by the Revitalization and Commercial
Development Task Force of the Swannanoa Pride Community Coalition.  It is partially funded by grants
received from The Center for Participatory Change and The Catholic Campaign for
Human Development.  The targeted
initial distribution date for the directory is Saturday, September 27 at
Swannanoa’s Second Annual Mill Around the Village Festival, sponsored by
SPCC.

Businesses may purchase advertising space in the
directory. Ad prices are $175 for a full page, $90 for a half page, $50 for a
quarter page, and $35 for a business card size.  All advertising copy should be submitted
print ready. Checks can be made out to SPCC and mailed to the address below.
             

The
Swannanoa Pride Community Coalition is a volunteer organization that sponsors
numerous community events, including cleanup and beautification projects, public
meetings and forums on a variety of issues, networking activities, and the
annual Mill Around the Village street festival.
