Swannanoa River Meeting

Come find out how you can help the Swannanoa River!

On Tuesday, March 16, 6:30PM at 29 N. Market St in Asheville, the Buncombe County Chapter of the Western North Carolina Alliance (WNCA) is holding a meeting to talk about the Swannanoa River.  A representative from the Division of Water Quality will present current information on the quality of the river.  Hartwell Carson, the French Broad Riverkeeper at WNCA, will also give a brief presentation on general water quality issues in our region.

The Buncombe County Chapter of WNCA is working to gather interested people and get the ball rolling on some hands-on projects to clean up the Swannanoa!  If you’re interested in lending a hand, please come Tuesday night!  For more info, contact Hartwell Carson at 258-8737.

The Buncombe County Chapter of WNCA is a grassroots environmental organization that works to preserve and protect the natural heritage of Buncombe County.
