SWANNANOA SWEEP!!
The Swannanoa Pride Community Coalition (SPCC) sponsored its second Swannanoa Sweep on Saturday morning, November 10. Dozens of residents donated over 100 hours of volunteer time to pick up litter and trash along the river and roadways in Swannanoa. About 40 cubic yards of trash were collected, including car bumpers, mufflers, and numerous tires. Hamilton Refuse generously provided a huge construction dumpster.
Many thanks to everyone who participated in the cleanup, including the more than 35 volunteers from the Owen High School Beta club. SPCC plans to sponsor a Swannanoa Spring Sweep in April.
