Since 2006, we have been active in advocating for Swannanoa and providing community services.
Building something that lasts
FANS grew out of the vision that community members saw as steps to joining for common causes in 2006. Out of that first community-wide meeting, grew Swannanoa Pride Community Coalition, which spearheaded many projects, including some that continue to this day under the auspices of FANS. In addition, FANS has seized on opportunities to enhance Valley life through new projects that foster community-building and shared responsibility..

To continue to respond to our population’s needs, FANS gains feedback from Swannanoans about events or projects they’d like to see happen in our growing community. We get those suggestions through contact links in our every-other-month e-newsletter, by participating in Valley events and through this website. We encourage our citizens to keep informed of news and events that affect our Valley by receiving the e-newsletter.
